Anthony K. Guzman, MD, FAAD

Anthony K. Guzman, MD, FAAD, is an accomplished, fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and board-certified dermatologist specializing in surgical dermatology.

After graduating magna cum laude from Dartmouth College with a double major in Neuroscience and Spanish Literature, Dr. Guzman went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his residency in dermatology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, where he was honored as Chief Resident in his final year.

Dr. Guzman completed a prestigious fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery & dermatologic oncology at Harvard University/Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. As a fellow, he developed comprehensive expertise in the medical and surgical treatment of skin cancer, including the management of high-risk tumors, advanced reconstruction, and skin cancer prevention. He is concurrently a candidate for a Masters of Public Health degree at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health where he studies health policy, management, and social behavior to advance his clinical practice and make a difference in the communities he serves.

Throughout his career, Dr. Guzman has made extensive research contributions that showcase his commitment to excellence and advancing the field of dermatology. He has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA Dermatology, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and others. His research has been presented at national and international conferences, and he has received multiple accolades including being named a DermMentors Resident of Distinction, as well as a Rising Derm Star. He is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Guzman emphasizes a compassionate and patient-focused approach. Above all else, he strives to deliver the best possible outcomes for his patients and is honored for the opportunity to serve patients in southern Maine.

Outside of work, Dr. Guzman enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and being a #girldad to his two daughters. He also enjoys fitness and weightlifting, travel, literature, basketball, football, and adventurous food.
