Mairead Baker, M.D.
A native Midwesterner, Dr. Baker is from Illinois where she completed undergraduate studies at Northwestern University and medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. She first moved to the east coast between her third and fourth year of medical school to study novel immunotherapeutic approaches to Merkel cell carcinoma as a student in the Medical Research Scholars Program at the National Institutes of Health outside of Washington, DC. She then completed a dual residency training program in internal medicine and dermatology at Medstar Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University where she served as academic chief resident during her final year. She is double board certified in internal medicine and dermatology and is a published author in numerous medical peer-reviewed journals.
Outside of clinic, Dr. Baker enjoys exploring all the natural beauty the state of Maine has to offer along with her husband, daughter, and golden retriever. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, baking, and scrapbooking.
